About
Meet the Visionary Behind Ramnarine Law
My name is Ramnarace Ramnarine, and I am a Barrister and Solicitor licensed to practice in Alberta and Ontario. My legal career took flight under the guidance of The Honourable Justice K. Lema of the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Law Society of Ontario, where I was called to the Bar. As a Notary Public and lawyer with a rich background in various sectors of Canada’s legal and judicial systems, I adopt a principled and comprehensive approach to legal practice.
I’ve had the honor of serving as a Judge (Member) of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, where I held federal (Privy Council) appointments in both the Canadian Refugee Determination Division (CRDD) and the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD).
Before that, I gained invaluable experience as a Presiding Judge/Justice of the Peace in the Criminal and Family Divisions of the provincial courts, crafting written judgments and delivering bench decisions based on the Criminal Code and Constitutional Law. These varied roles provide me with a unique insight that I leverage to advocate effectively for my clients.

A Foundation of Judicial and Administrative Knowledge
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree obtained in the United Kingdom. As I pursue a Professional Master of Laws (LLM) in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, my educational journey underscores my dedication to justice, legal education, and community service.
A Comprehensive and Empathetic Legal Perspective
With a wealth of practical experience in immigration, criminal, family, and administrative law, I offer clients a robust foundation of legal knowledge and the ability to adeptly navigate the intricate web of overlapping legal issues. I take great pride in my capacity to synthesize legal principles and apply them thoughtfully and empathetically. At the core of my practice lies a steadfast commitment to fairness, fostering access to justice and providing results-driven representation that prioritizes each client‘s unique situation.
